“My impression: copycats. Not cool, but trying really hard to be. The lead singer bothered me with his phony ‘pushing the envelope.’ It was too transparent for my rather picky taste. It’s one of my strengths and weaknesses unfortunately. My patience these days is too thin for tomfoolery, which I strongly detected.
What happens is that I simply placed them in the ‘fail forever’ category and further dismiss without prejudice. They’re in a ‘dead to me now’ mentality. However, I’ll give them another try on your recommendation. If they fuck it up this time, they’ll be dead to me for eternity.”
